Practical Business Intelligence takes a big leap forward…
Announcing ClearFinancials® 2010
With this important release, we are introducing a new platform, an enhanced user interface, a new Edition, many significant new features, and a new way to communicate enhancements to our growing customer base. Below are selected notes relative to WHAT’S NEW in ClearFinancials® 2010:
As part of the new ClearFinancials® 2010 platform, we have improved our user interface to provide even greater consistency with evolving UI breakthroughs from Microsoft Office, Excel, and Windows 7. Also included in ClearFinancials® 2010 are many breakthrough new features that keep ClearMomentum the clear leader in practical business intelligence.
The new look of ClearFinancials® 2010 begins on your desktop – if you are reading this note, the new icon has already been deployed.
A newly designed user interface for ClearFinancials® 2010 has been deployed to enhance the overall user experience by leveraging the latest in UI technology from Microsoft. Subtle changes have been made to the layout of the primary Analytics screen, most notably the location of the statement tabs. Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Non-Financials, Sources and Uses, Statement of Change and Metrics tabs are now located BELOW the primary graph at the bottom of the application.
ClearFinancials® 2010 contains a great new tool designed to address the need to more efficiently manage expanding reporting content. In the reporting section, simply preview and save any report. Once complete, a live image of the report will be available (along with with a detailed description of its contents if desired) for preview and to aid in report selection.
Significant enhancements have been made to the Administration module in ClearFinancials® 2010. User management, entity management and entity configuration capabilities have all been upgraded to aid in administrative tasks. The sweeping changes now available to CF Administrators may require additional product training. User training sessions are planned and will be made available in the coming days.
Another upgrade targeting data management personnel provides for a more efficient means of loading diverse sets of data. New “Data Load Profiles” can be created to account for subtle differences between actual and plan/budget data sets, eliminating the need to change mapping attributes with each new update. This new feature is simple to utilize. Your customer service representative will be pleased to review the new process with a quick call.
While not immediately visible, an ACCOUNT ATTRIBUTE capability has been deployed that will allow the ClearFinancials® 2010 user to establish unique, secondary attributes to any account in the ClearFinancials® database. The unique attributes may then be queried or used as sort criteria to enable “pivot” functionality for reporting and analysis.
