Dr. Jim Stoffel is a “senior advisor”, working with multiple private equity companies on business transition and growth investment opportunities around the world. He is an Executive Partner at Trillium Group, LLC, and served as Chairman and CEO of a Trillium Group portfolio company, completing the sale of the company in 2007. Jim also served as Chairman of the Board of the Information Technology Industry Council, Washington DC, and he currently serves as Chairman of the advisory board at the Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI), Hong Kong China’s lead technology development organization. In addition, Jim is currently on the board of directors of Harris Corporation, Melbourne FL, and HSTX Networks, San Jose CA. Jim served as Sr. Vice President, Director of R&D worldwide, and was “Kodak’s first Digital CTO”, retiring after eight years with Eastman Kodak. He was directly responsible for over 5000 people, including Kodak Research Laboratories worldwide, the Engineering Design Centers, and the key Corporate Platform Centers. Prior to joining Kodak, Jim was with Xerox Corporation for over 20 years. He held a number of executive positions, including: VP & General Manager of Xerox Advance Imaging Business Unit, an integrated full-function worldwide business; VP of Corporate Research & Technology; VP New Imaging Systems, and VP & Chief Engineer. Jim is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and recipient of an MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University, where he was an NDEA Fellow. He holds over 28 US patents, and is the author / editor of a college reference book on image processing. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, and andcurrently a Trustee of the George Eastman House, and on the GS&R board of the University of Notre Dame |
